2019 Angler of the Year Rings.

The 2019 NOWT season was an exciting one with the inaugural Championship Tournament held in Geraldton in June.  The race for points continues into 2020 as the next championship will be held in KRWT.

The Angler of the Year race hasn’t been shadowed by the championship hype as the points earned at each of the NOWT sanctioned events count towards the season-end award.  Anglers receive points based on their finish in each event with their 3 best finishes used to calculate their placement in the “Angler of the Year” rankings.

As in previous years, 2019 was very competitive with just over 3 points separating the top two places.

The winning team participated in 5 of the 7 sanctioned events with their top 3 results at Dubreuilville, Geraldton, and Mattagami Fall Walleye Classic.

The NOWT Angler of the Year for 2019 is awarded to both Dan Hein and Didier Germain, each with a circuit leading score of 326.786.

Hein and Germain will be awarded custom made rings by Dube Designs and a Yamaha Power Generator.  Congratulations!
