The Kenogamisis Fish and Game Conservation Club was formed in May of 1939 and has hosted an annual fishing completion since its inception.  Today the organizations signature event is the Geraldton Walleye Classic.   The classic’s format we know and love was implemented during the 2004 tournament. The waters of Kenogamisis Lake are productive and provide anglers with the challenge of a shallow water fishery.

The host community of Geraldton is located on the lakeshore and everything you need is within minutes of the lake. The tournament headquarters is located at MacLeod Provincial Park which is located on the tournament lake. Campsite reservations are now available to be made using the Ontario Parks reservation system on-line.

This tournament is very popular with angler, their families and spectators alike.  The allure of the tournament includes a canteen, stage, tents, plenty of parking, and a very exciting top ten weigh-in.  Anglers also enjoy a Saturday night BBQ supper. The event always fills up so, early registration is a must if you wish to participate in this popular event.

This is a great event to bring the family for the weekend.  Anglers can choose to stay at one of the beautiful camp sites in the park or decide to stay at a resort, hotel or bed and breakfasts.  All conveniently located near the tournament lake and headquarters.   Visit the GWC website listed below for more info on accommodations or registrations.
